The "You Can Live Forever In Paradise on Earth" book was the one we used pioneering. I came in on the "Truth" book. I really liked the "United in Worship" book a lot. It was pragmatic and not as doctrinal. Ultimately when they drop a book its because some major thing has been changed and that is where the trouble comes in. I didn't agree with the changes for the most part and it seemed as if it were being dumbed down even more. Now we see its made absolutely moron magnetic! -

How many doctrines exposed by Ray Franz in Crisis of Conscience have since been changed by "New Light"?
by Wasanelder Once ini read coc long ago.
those of you more able to recall the text, i ask: how many doctrines did ray franz expose / comment on in crisis of conscience have been done away with due to "new light"?
i think it would be interesting to see if ray called bs on doctrines that were later changed because the governing body also realized they were bs.

So you just barely survived a terrible act of terrorism? I think Perry has the right idea, lets all argue with you about evolution, it only seems the reasonable thing to engage in at this time. (NOT!) So happy for your survival.
Perry attacks, doesn't even wish you well or the people who have been harmed. Well that's Christian fundy's for ya. All about priorities. Jesus is watching to see if he can convert you to his Jesus Jihad. Same as JW's only more Jesus-eee.

JW to SDA anyone do it ?
by Introvert 2 ina couple friends pointed me to some info on the sabbath and i just plain like it, being the workaholic i am it's a lifesaver for me and gives me the motivation to be more balanced about my business and work schedule.
so from there i looked into the adventists and found a hall near my place and went last week.
i honestly enjoyed myself and the meeting time is not disruptive and the people were great and pretty laid back.

Join a bowling League. There are not end times, no dates and no eschatology, just balls and pins. Meet people, trade shoes and bring disinfectant to spray in them. (The shoes not the people obviously). I am sure it is time better spent than going to the place where Russell got his start. -

Remember the two elderly sisters?
by John Aquila inabout a month ago i posted what had happened to two elderly sisters who were reprimanded by a couple of elders for crying because the jw broadcasting was going to be stopped at the kingdom hall and it was up to each publisher to learn how to use the internet.
if you recall the sisters got together with my mom and talked about it and it resulted in all of them declining to make meals for the pioneers.
here is the link.

The local congregation in this little town has a big party outside the night the new broadcast is released. They have a projector and take it outside to watch it after they all have a pot luck. The elderly would be out of luck if they didn't do this. So I can understand her irritation and hurt. You go granny JW's! -

badly handled from Elders
by Olivia Wilde ini am still attending the kh, i actually recently became aware of the ttatt, what i believed came as a huge surprised for me, i wasn't raised as a jw and have been for about 15 years.
i have always been a very open minded individual all my life always seeing both sides of any situation with logic and common sense and so i believe discovering all of the doctrines i have been taught sense 16 years of age, wasn't extremely hard for me to realize in my heart it was a lie.
well it was me discovering the watchtower society being a ngo member of the un nations for 10 years, after that the snowball just got bigger for me.

As you can tell, "the lunatics have taken over the asylum." Forget thinking that you will ever get genuine kindness or any justice from these people. Fade and just leave it behind. Find and enjoy a new life with people who aren't mentally diseased! lol Welcome Olivia! keep posting. -

The tendency of some is to "go wild" because they have freedom from JW rules and regulations. Don't "go wild". You don't need to get drunk to have a good time. You don't need to use drugs to have a good time. You just can't condemn those who do it in moderation and don't harm you or others. I think you are not so sheltered you don't know what life is like among the "worldly" people. Just use good sense. The best advice was a part time job if possible. You will make a bit of money and make friends I am sure. Use your freedom wisely and don't confide in any of the congregation members, kids or otherwise, if they are "true believers." Welcome! -

GEOFFREY JACKSON and the JUNCTION of DYSFUNCTION
by Terry inin the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king.. _____________________.
in the watchtower society, there is a point where heaven and earth meet.. 100+ years of historical evidence will show it is a junction of dysfunction; a mental construct; a shadow of imagination indwelling like a spirit of possession.. the shaman who invoke this shadow spirit are seven men in number; an elite cadre of self-described anointed kings and priests whose ultimate destination is heaven itself.. or so they are eager to insist!.
while cloaking themselves in the ragged raiment of mere slaves, their actions, words and deeds betray this subterfuge.

It is the same look in the eyes of all the WT elite. Even the congregation elders. Their self righteousness is so oppressive. Every word is condescending and meant to sound superior as if Jehovah were speaking through their mouth. Now I am reminded why I hated the circuit and district assignments I had on assemblies and conventions. Such self righteous scum. It makes me want to leave off ever listening to them even on here. I am tired of these murderous liars and their bullshit. -
